This is a good model of a Trinity Lightship.

This is another kit where the molds have been bought by another company. You can still buy the old kit, pressed in Russia. A great kit to R/C, even though these ships had no steam engine, but were towed out to sea. Click on the picture to go to a web page by someone who built and modified the kit.

Looks great on water. Remember your ballast as there is a high point of gravity with the Light tower.

Note the propeller that was NOT on the origional ship. Still, it looks good sailing accross the pool or pond. How about a working light and a fog horn from RAM products? Hmmmmm.....

Interior view showing motor and speed control. This modeler has gone to quite an extent to fit the equipment in the hull.

How about a diorama of the Goodwin?

This person took the model kit and displayed it as it looked when it broke away from it's mooring and beached itself after a violent storm. See the photo page for the completed model or click on the photo for the builder's web site.
