It is coming along very nicely especially with buying some fittings from other sources and making some fittings from scratch to replace some of the badly cast ones. QUESTION: Part #41 fell off the plastic tree and I do not know what part it was. Is there anyone out there who can tell me what part it was?

| Comments: | I was stationed on board the "Stonepony" as we called her, from early 1962 to sept 1963. I was a BM striker (Boatswain's Mate apprentice) and appreciate your detail. There was a door under the light gallery where we would climb up the inside of the mast and throw our "dummy" named "Elmer" out and watch land on the deck. Great fun to see all of the boats race over to see what had happened. Later we would have a burial at sea. |

boy i cant begin to count all the models i have made over the years. airplanes, trucks, ships, custom cars and so on. i got a lightship model from internet hobbies that is russian made-lol. it is of the south goodwin, and she is british. i have been thinking about makeing a copy of the 612 san francisco out of her. wont be hard, just a few modifications and presto. only problem is i cant get any more of them because they have discontinued it. i have sent e-mails to internet hobbies to try and find out who might be makeing lightship models, but to no avail. no return e-mails from them. lindburg would be a good choice to make something like that but cant find anything there either. there is one outfit on their web site that makes a model of the ashville which is a dead ringer for our 95 footers back in those days. she is navy but is pictured white in their photo of it. if you remove some of the guns and war gear from her decks you have a fine 95. they were made for the viet nam w |

| Comments: | Hello ... your website is great!! I am a retired Coastie, and long-time ship modeler, living in Pensacola. If you have been to the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, perhaps you have seen the 1/72 scale, 11-foot USS Enterprise (CV-6) model there. I was the team leader responsible for its creation and its twin model at the Airventure Museum, Oshkosh, WI..
Anyway, I recently got interested in building Nantucket Lightship. I bid on four kits (Pyro and Lindberg) on the internet ... lost three bids but won the fourth, the Pyro kit. Unfortunately, it was advertised without plans and came that way. Can you put me in touch with the person on your website who is making the Lindberg kit so I can ask him to make me a copy of the plans? Or do you have another way to help me get plans for that kit??? I originally thought I could build the model without plans, but there are more pieces than I bargained for.

| Comments: | Hi I write to inform you that the 1936 Nantucket sits in Oyster Bay, Long
Island long for the time being. You can walk right up to it on a pier. You
cannot board it. I was told that volunteers are working on restoring each
weekend and that if you make some friends they will show you around. It was
purchased by a foundation for restoration. See below. My wife and I who
live on Long Island were driving around saw the ship from a distance. What
a surprise to find it. I had built the Revell South Goodwin about two years
ago. I am hoping Lindberg will put out their kit again. Enjoy. Thank you

| Comments: | Hi,just a comment on the review of the Revell South Goodwin Lightship.It was originally produced in the 1960"s by British company FROG.I believe Revell bought the moulds for most of their range when they went out of business in the early 70"s,and issued a lot including this one.They then licensed the moulds to Eastern Express of Russia.Many of their current kits especially aircraft ,are reboxed FROG(Flies Right Off the Ground-they originally made flying models).
